What Chicago Home Tutor is doing to support the unique education needs arising due to COVID-19 Pandemic
As Chicago schools are now closed until at least April 21st, Chicago Home Tutor is looking for ways to support your family and student with the unique needs of this time. 100% Virtual Tutoring
Research tells us that all students lose progress without regular schooling, and these breaks negatively affect our diverse learners and struggling students even more. During the COVID-19 crisis we have transitioned all of our tutoring online to serve diverse learners.
Our tutoring programs are 100 percent customized, so please contact us to share your student's needs and goals, and we will choose the perfect fit from our team of learning behavior specialists, reading specialists, professional educators and school psychologists.
Specialized services for IEP and Intervention Needs
Many schools are moving to e-learning platforms while they are closed, but in most cases it hasn't become clear what that means for IEP and intervention services that your students were receiving at school. We know that consistency is absolutely critical for progress, so if you'd like to make sure your child maintains progress on IEP or intervention goals while school is out of session, we would love to support you and your child in making this happen!
Executive Functioning Coaching and Homework Support
We know many of you still have to work from home and don't have the time to be a full-time teacher as well. With school taking place online while the school buildings are closed, many students will be expected to complete an entire day of work independently and virtually. Many parents will not have time to make sure that happens while also getting their work done. This level of independent work is a particular challenge for students with executive functioning challenges and ADHD. We are providing homework support and executive functioning coaching to ensure your student is keeping up with the content being covered and getting all assignments done, so that transitions back to school are as smooth as possible.
